I’m Dr. Noushin Verdi, a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience in private practice. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology from Alliant International University, as well as a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
My clinical foundation was built through rigorous training at a number of well-regarded institutions, including Phoenix House, Jewish Family Services, and the Matrix Institute on Addictions. These settings gave me broad experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan—providing individual, couples, and group therapy in both clinical and community-based settings.
I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and use it as a central framework in my work with partners who are navigating relational disconnection, conflict, and attachment wounds. My approach helps partners move out of reactive cycles and into more secure, emotionally attuned connections.
In addition, I am a Certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist, integrating ketamine treatment into psychotherapy for individuals facing depression, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. I bring both clinical expertise and deep emotional presence to these sessions, guiding clients through altered states of consciousness in a safe, grounded, and therapeutic way.
At the core of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationship—whether that’s with your partner, your therapist, or ultimately, yourself. I conceptualize challenges through a systems lens, always considering the broader relational, cultural, and environmental context of each individual I work with.
Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood in our sessions. I use warmth, humor, and a bit of irreverence when needed, because therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy to be effective. Growth often happens when we’re able to be real with ourselves—laugh a little, cry a little, and learn how to hold space for all of it.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a parent of 3, a partner, and a lifelong student of human behavior. I know firsthand how hard it can be to show up for others while trying to stay connected to yourself. These lived experiences continue to inform my work and deepen my empathy for the people I work with every day.
If you’re looking for therapy that is emotionally deep, intellectually grounded, and relationally focused—I’d be honored to work with you.
